about

pieces i made in 2017 for the film the great pretender. the piano pieces were recorded in the practice rooms of the university of new orleans using a key that a german exchange student gave me when she left town. the guitar and cello piece was recorded on lesseps street when my two roommates were not home. i didn't speak to them during the month that i lived there because i was going through some sort of crazy psychological experience. one of them responded to my avoidance with anger and resentment, the other one was sympathetic.
